This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you visit Soochymoochy (https://soochymoochy.in), and why.

Who we are

Soochymoochy is a product-discovery website operated by soumyaconsultants, India. For any privacy question or request, contact us at contact@soochymoochy.in.

Summary

  • You can browse Soochymoochy without an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or other personal details.
  • We count clicks on product links anonymously. Our click records do not store your IP address, a persistent identifier or details about your browser or device, and our click measurement does not use cookies.
  • When you follow a product link to a retailer such as Amazon, that retailer’s own privacy practices apply.

Information you provide

Soochymoochy currently has no public user accounts, newsletter sign-up, comments or contact form. If you choose to email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it to respond to you.

Anonymous affiliate-click measurement

Product images, product names and “View product” buttons on Soochymoochy link to retailers (see “Affiliate links and retailers” below). When you click one, your browser goes directly to the retailer. At the same time, a small script on our page tells our server that a product link was clicked. This helps us understand which products people find interesting. It does not delay or change where the link takes you.

What our click records contain. For each click, our click-event database stores only:

  • the date and time of the click;
  • which product was clicked (our internal product number);
  • which part of the listing was clicked: the image, the product name, or the “View product” button;
  • the type of page you were on: the homepage, a category page, search results, the all-products page, or another page;
  • the product category you were browsing, if any (for example “Gifts”);
  • the retailer’s name and the retailer’s website domain (for example “Amazon India” and “link.amazon”), taken from our own product records rather than from your browser.

What our click records do not contain. Our click-event records do not store:

  • your IP address, or any persistent hashed version of it;
  • details of your browser, device or operating system;
  • cookies, or any visitor, session or device identifier;
  • the full link you followed, or any affiliate tracking codes in it;
  • anything you type on the site, such as search terms;
  • your name, email address or location.

Our click measurement does not use cookies and does not create a persistent identifier for you. We use click records only to understand activity in aggregate, for example how many times a product was clicked. We do not use them to build profiles of individual visitors.

Temporary abuse protection. To stop automated or excessive requests from distorting the counts, our server must briefly handle the IP address of each click request. From it, the server derives a temporary hashed value that is used only for short-term abuse prevention. That value is kept only in the server’s temporary memory cache for approximately 60 seconds. It is used only to ignore an immediate repeat of the same click and to limit how many clicks one source can register in a short time. It is not written to the click-event database and is not used to identify you or to build visitor profiles. Requests that clearly come from automated software are not counted. Clicks made by our own logged-in staff are not counted either.

How long we keep click records. We currently intend to keep detailed anonymous click-event records for approximately 13 months. We may keep aggregated statistics, such as total clicks per product per day, for longer. These contain no information about individual visits.

Search

When you use the site’s search box, your search words are sent to our server as part of the page address so we can show matching products. Our click measurement does not record search terms. Like any web address you visit, the address may appear in the technical logs kept by our hosting provider (see “Hosting, security and performance”).

Affiliate links and retailers

Many product links on Soochymoochy are affiliate links. If you click one and then make a qualifying purchase, the retailer may pay us a commission. Soochymoochy is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme for Amazon.in. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. For more, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

Once you follow a link to a retailer such as Amazon, you are on the retailer’s website, which we do not control. The retailer’s own privacy notice, cookies and similar technologies then apply. When applicable, third parties, including Amazon and other advertisers, may serve content or advertisements, collect information directly from visitors, and place or recognise cookies on visitors’ browsers in accordance with their own privacy policies. Soochymoochy does not receive your retailer account details, payment details or delivery address.

Hosting, security and performance

Soochymoochy is hosted by Hostinger, and our pages are delivered through Hostinger’s content-delivery and caching infrastructure. These services help keep the website fast, available and secure. To deliver and protect the website, they process standard technical information that every browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. They may record it in server logs for security and operational purposes, under Hostinger’s own privacy policy. We do not use this information to identify or profile visitors.

Children

Soochymoochy is not directed at children.

Your choices and rights

Our anonymous click records are not linked to you, so they cannot be retrieved or changed for you individually. If you have emailed us, you can ask us about, correct or delete that correspondence. For any privacy question, request or concern, contact us at contact@soochymoochy.in. We will respond in accordance with applicable law in India.

You can control or delete cookies set by retailers and other websites through your browser settings, and you can use each retailer’s own privacy controls.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Soochymoochy handles information, for example by adding a newsletter, contact form or analytics service, we will update this page and its effective date.
